Graham Leigh

I was born and bred in Southampton and currently live in Sherfield English near Romsey. I spent 40 years working in the Corporate environment in IT, both nationally and internationally for organisations such as Warner Lambert, Pfizer and Aviva. Following retirement I spent 3 years working in passenger security for the cruise industry in Southampton Docks. This has given me not only a valuable insight into customer service but also in dealing with potential conflict situations (Try telling someone that has just spent 3 hours stuck in a traffic jam that you need to search their luggage).

I started my martial arts training in 1971, at the age of 18, after being the victim of an unprovoked violent assault. I realised then that I had to take responsibility for my own personal safety. I am by no means a natural athlete myself so I have empathy with anyone who has problems with the techniques being taught and I have the experience to adapt the technique to fir the individual. I have also been fortunate enough to have trained, competed and graded in Japan.
